| Abstract;Compact spot welding robots with high-speed and highly reliable functions are required in the frame body production lines for automobiles. NACHI succeeded in developing the Japan's very first electric spot welding robot back in 1981. We were able to develop the compact robot of high speed and high reliability with vertical articulation that is operated with a servo motor drive instead of a hydraulic, polar coordinate system. In 1994, we marketed the arm axis motor-driven SA Series robots designed for the greater saving of space, followed by SH Series with Servo Gun in 2002. Our newly-developed Presto ST Series has built-in welding cable with substantially-improved reliability, and it allows a saving of space for high-density installation. (author abst.) |
