| Abstract; The Patch test of skin with the constituents of Miranol was conducted with a girl (6 years old) who was suspected of allergy to Miranol. Informed consent was obtained from the girl and her guardian. A dermatologist applied the patches with the constituents of Miranol on her back skin, and judged them two days after. The results were judged according to the ICDRG (International Contact Dermatitis Research Group) criterion. 1 and 0.5% solutions of each Miranol constituent, which included sodium fluoride, and the Miranol solutions adjusted to the ordinary concentration (fluoride ion concentration: 450 and 225ppm) for mouth rinse showed negative reactions. However, the irritation of skin with erythema and edema was observed by undiluted cinnamon oil. The application of undiluted apple flavor was judged "+?" (erythema). The concentration of undiluted cinnamon oil was so high that the irritation of skin could be observed. From the test, the direct causality between the constituents of Miranol and the previous rash was not clear. In conclusion, we can not say that special attention should be paid to fluoride mouth rinse with Miranol for persons who have a predisposition to allergy or are susceptible to contact dermatitis.
