Abstract;Prurigo exhibits the prurigo node as a main characteristic. It is the specific reactive inflammatory skin reaction. A feature is intense itching. It is initiated from urticarious papule or serous papule. Prurigo is classified into pathologic types of prurigo acuta, polymorphic chronic prurigo, nodular prurigo, subacute prurigo simplex, atopic dermatitis prurigo type, prurigo pigmentosa and prurigo gestationis. Clinical features, differential diagnosis, histopathologic findings and treatments of each pathologic type are outlined.
