| Abstract;This paper examines the effect of distance of transmitter and receiver, mutual coupling and manufacturing error of array on the estimation error of 4 elements linear array using the Directions of Arrival(DOA) estimation of ESPRIT method. The simulation models are presented and the effect of the error is quantitatively clarified. The results show that the maximum of estimation error is in inverse proportion to the 2nd power of the distance between transmission and receiver. Also it is clarified that the range of the standard derivation and range of estimation error are pressed down to 0.DEG.<.THETA.1<60.DEG.if the manufactural error is reduced. In addition, the experiments in anechoic chamber confirmed the validity of the simulation and clarified that the mutual coupling and manufacturing error of the array antenna is the main factor of DOA estimation error. |
