Abstract; In the Japanese apricot, it is important to properly control tree form for the stable production as the torage nutriment in the preceding year is mainly used for tree growth and fruiting and hypertrophy by the exhibition leaf stage. As the part of the test for clarifying proper tree form management method, in making to be contrasting the natural defoliation in December, the effect of the defoliation from August to October on tree form nutrition and tree growth was examined. As the defoliation treatment is earlier done, Tree form nutrition and tree growth were inferior, lower quality became worse, and fructification rate and yield point were inferior.
