Abstract; The effectiveness of enucleatio bulbi for the retinoblastoma has been established. On the other hand, the patients' pain such as blindness by avulsio bulbi, necessity of the artificial eye, face impaired development, etc. is also big in this disease in which the vital prognosis is good. The examination was made to decide whether the ocular salvage was possible by using the systemic chemotherapy jointly in the topical treatment in order to avoid these problems. By using the systemic chemotherapy jointly in the topical treatment, the possibility of the ocular salvage in the non-progress cases and of the distant metastasis prevention in the progress cases were indicated. It is necessary to establishe the evaluation method of progress level of the appropriate tumor, choose the adaptation, accumulate the cases, and to evaluate tumor cell expulsion rate, sight function evaluation after the ocular salvage, and danger of the secondary cancer in future.
