| Abstract;Telomerase elongates chromosome telomere DNA, and plays an essential role for division potentials of cells and stability of genomes through the maintenance of its structure and function. Recently, RNA-binding protein involved in processing and stability of template RNA for the telomerase was elucidated, and congenital dyskeratosis with the mutation in this gene is indicated to cause the symptom by decreasing telomearase function due to the defect of template RNA. Because of this, the importance of the role of RNA-binding protein in telomerase functions has been realized again. |
