Abstract;Peritonitis is known as a critical complication in a CAPD (continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis) therapy. It is generally treated by adding the antibiotics in dialysate. Besides antibiotics, some more medicines are known to be used by mixing with dialysate. Therefore we selected 20 kinds of medicines (mainly antibiotics) and studied the compatibility of the mixture. In this study, each medicine was mixed with neutral penitoneal dialysis solution (PERISATE 360N, 400N, 360NL, 400NL which were developed by JMS Inc.), and observation and measurements were performed. It became clear that there is no significant changes in appearance, pH, and concentration of medicine, if they are mixed just before use. (author abst.)
