| Abstract;We have developed a Radiation-proof Robot (called RaBOT) operated under the severe conditions such as gamma irradiation. The robot has two arms, four crawlers, CCD cameras and so on. The aim of this robot is to be used for the rescue operations of the emergent tasks under the severe conditions such as atomic accident. In addition, it is constructed by remotely removable unit parts, which are electric devices such as a control unit and so on. Therefore, in case of the robot is damaged, each part is simply exchanged by the other robot. This report describes the outline of the RaBOT and the basic performance test results. (author abst.) |
