| Abstract;HMG "Nikken" 100 for Inj. (N100, FSH/LH=approx.1:1) and HMG "Nikken" 150 for Inj. (N150, FSH/LH=1:.LEQ. 0.05) were administered to rats to evaluate the growth of ovarian follicle. Wistar-Imamichi female rats aged 3 weeks were used and the total dosage of FSH was adjusted to 10IU/rat. As treatment groups, in addition to the N100 group and N150 group receiving daily doses of N100 and N150, respectively, for 4 days, a group receiving N150 on Days 1 and 2 and N100 on Days 3 and 4 (N150-N100 group) was established as a switch treatment group. The rats were sacrificed at approx. 24 hours after the last dose, and the ovarian weight, serum estradiol level, corpus luteum count, mean area for each Graafian follicle, ovulation rate, etc. were measured. As a result, the ovarian weight increased in all the hMG treatment groups and the serum estradiol level increased only in the N100 group. The corpus luteum count and mean area for each Graafian follicle increased in all the hMG treatment groups, and the mean area for each Graafian follicle became approx. twice that of the control group. The ovulation rate increased in all the hMG treatment groups, and an ovulation rate of 100% was noted in the N100 group and the N150-N100 group. As indicated by the above results, a favorable effect on growth of ovarian follicle and expedition of ovulation were exhibited in the N100 group. On the other hand, an avoidance of high value on serum estradiol level was also exhibited by the switch treatment in the N150-N100 group. (author abst.) |
