| Abstract;Endometriosis affects as many as 6-44% of women of reproductive age. The therapy for ovarian endometriosis is controversial. We compared three kinds of therapies for endometrial cysts of the ovary (Group A, aspiration of contents and infusion of ethanol; Group B, aspiration of contents and infusion of danazol; Group C, GnRH agonist therapy) in 50 premenopausal women treated in our hospital between 1994 and 1998. Results revealed that the therapy for Group B was more effective than those for the other 2 groups as to improvement of symptoms, reduction of cystsize, recurrencerate and side effects.
