| Abstract;As the selective AT1 receptor antagonist in the drug for treatment of hypertension, valsartan (VS) (Diovan tablet) is presented. VS is an angiotensin II type 1 receptor blocker (ARB), and is clinically used as an antihypertensive agent. In the comparison with losartan pottasium and candesartan cilexetil as the existing ARB, VS is more excellent in the hypotensive effects, and has the advantage not influenced by metabolism enzymes. This paper describes knacks of the usage of VS including administration and dosage, and precautions for use including the side effects. |
