| Abstract;By the long-term use of anacilitic drugs of morphine and amphetamine, acquisition of resistance, psychic dependency formation and the physical dependency are caused. These phenomena are also supposed to be learning and memory phenomenon by the drugs. From the experiment using morphine, and from the facts in which Pur.ALPHA.protein existing in the nerve system recognizes an unique single stranded-DNA sequence and becomes attached to it, calmodulin (CaM) reinforces this bond ca. 10 times, and morphine affects this system etc., CaM is possibly involved in the gene expression through a single cascade different from CRE/CREB. On the other hand, by electric stimulation and methamphetaminium etc., Arc protein induced by the brain region specifically is known, and a new protein Amida combining with the Arc protein was isolated and analysed with the result that Amida was found to shift over to the nucleus to cause the nerve cell death. The author explained the property of these proteins and the relationship with the formation of drug dependency. |
