| Abstract;A fundamental study on solar power generation system has been performed in National Aerospace Laboratory. This research work involves both solar receiver system and Stirling power generation system. The former work is focused on developing a high efficiency solar receiver for future space energy experiments on the JEM-FE. In parallel, a semi free-piston Stirling engine alternator has been experimentally studied as a candidate for future space power converters. As a result of bench test, the thermodynamic efficiency of 33% and system efficiency of 21% were obtained. Based on these achievements, the design work for integration of the solar receiver and Stirling engine is underway. (author abst.) |
