Abstract;It is very important to detect unknown space debris and to catalogue them. New space debris observation facilities are now under construction at Bisei-cho in Okayama Prefecture. NAL is planning to observe GEO/GTO debris by the optical telescope of the facilities. Before this observation, we carry out the preliminary observations by an existing optical telescope. This paper describes the operation of the preliminary observation, the conception of the software for detecting debris and the evaluation of the debris orbit determination. (author abst.)
