Abstract;Baclofen is a GABABreceptor agonist. This drug has contracture alleviative action, muscle relaxative action, and analgesic action, and is adapted for several symptoms such as contracture in cerebrovascular diseases and cerebral palsy etc. and muscle hypersthenia symptom. This drug is also administered to afferent obliterative pain, trigeminal neuralgia, glossopharyngeal neuralgia, hiccup etc. As a maintaining amount, 30 mg/day is adequate, and the amount of which should not be more than 80 mg/day. A sudden medication withdrawal after a long-term administration causes eventually abstinent symptom. Sleepiness, blood pressure lowering, nausea, thamuria are referred to as complication.
