Abstract;Interannual variability of vegetation activity was estimated from NOAA/AVHRR Land Pathfinder NDVI data sets. NDVI were converted to vegetation activity from 1981/7 to 1991/6, and biomass increase trend was also estimated. Global integrated NDVI are increasing at a rate of about 1% yr and NPP is also increasing at same rate. Biomass increase trend is estiamted to be about 3% in 10 years. These results show the higher value than the result of carbon cycle modeling. (author abst.)
