Abstract;Recently, the control of gaseous contaminants becomes important in addition to particle contaminant in a cleanroom for semiconductor manufacturing industries. On the other hand, influence to indoor air quality by volatile organic compound (VOC) becomes a problem in addition to CO2 and CO on the basis of environmental standard. In this study, we considered human beings as one of the source of VOCs. The following three experiments were measured VOC emission from human being. (1) VOC contained in exhaled breath. (2) VOC generated from the surface of the body. (3) VOC generated from all over the body. From the above experiments, the following items were confirmed: (1) Halogenide and Sulfide was peculiar to exhalation. While formamide was peculiar to the surface of the body. (2) VOC generation rate is more exhaled breath than surface of the body. (author abst.)
