[Event Info]
The International Symposium on Fe-Oxipnictide Superconductors will be held on June 28th, 29th 2008in Tokyo, Japan.
Triggered by the recent discovery of high temperature superconductivity in oxypnictides by Prof. Hideo Hosono's group of Tokyo Institute of Technology, very active studies have been flourrished in finding new compositions and to understand basic properties of this category of the new superconductor OP-superconductors. This symposium has been planned to summarize state-of-the-art findings of the new developments. The admission fee is free.
The special lecture by Prof. Hosono at the prior national symposium held on 8th June

Kyoto University founded the Center for iPS Cell Research and Applicationt (CiRA) under the auspices of the iCeMS in January 2008 to further advance iPS cell research and applications. The CiRA, in collaboration with other departments in Kyoto University such as the Institute for Frontier Medical Sciences and the Graduate School of Medicine, aims at clinical applications of iPS cells at the earliest stage possible. It also provides information on iPS cell protocol and so on at the website.
