In seeking to ensure further progress in science and technology throughout the 21st century, it is necessary to keep it under proper control through formulating shared values, and establishing a common base for promoting science and technology. For this purpose, the “Science and Technology in Society forum” is held, where not only scholars and researchers, but also policy makers, business leaders and media leaders from all over the world meet and discuss science and technology issues of the 21st century.
Science and Technology in Society forum Third Annual Meeting will be held in Kyoto in September 2007. Participation is upon invitation only.
